An officer was dispatched to a report of someone wearing a FedEx uniform and driving a FedEx truck who was ringing the callers doorbell. It was a FedEx delivery in progress. There were no problems.

Heres one from yesterday's blotter:
Suspicious vehicle with multiple men reported, comp reported one got out, banged on door, gave her bottle of dish soap and said he’d be back with something, she told him not to and closed door, he came back and banged on door, she didn’t open it, parties selling vacuum cleaners, advised to contact city hall and seek peddler’s permit, 8th Ave/Kenwood.

Officers checked on a man who was outside wearing shorts and a T-shirt.

No shit, it's been above 25 here. That's not news. Or unusual. It's T-shirt weather.

A jogger dialed 911 by accident. Three times.
A caller reported that at 2:12 a.m., an intoxicated man was trying to get into the house then started making out with an intoxicated woman who had fallen in the snow.

A fire hydrant on Babcock Street was stolen.

A transient was reportedly screaming at passing cars and holding a brick. An officer contacted the man, who had no brick with him and said he never had a brick. He said he was just angry at life in general.

I'd be angry at life too if I didn't have a brick.

A person on Granite Avenue caught a vicious cat but needed help taking it to the animal shelter because it bites.

Deputies responded to a possible domestic assault. At the home, a man said nothing had happened and invited deputies into the home. A woman at the home was found hiding under bed linen in the bedroom. She was hiding due to having an active warrant out for her arrest. She was taken into custody and deputies determined no assault had happened.

Police responded to the report of a suspicious man carrying a large pole while walking on Main Street at 1:23 a.m. They found a man with facial injuries. He was taken to the hospital but did not wish to discuss what had happened to him.

Officers talked to some men who had forced their intoxicated friend into the trunk of a sedan.

Forced is such a strong word officer.
