I really want to do a Pliny clone, and I have seen recipes in Jamils book, Zymurgy and online. Which is the most acurate?

Is there a significant difference between Pliny the elder and Pliny the Younger? (Besides age of coarse) I was just wondering.

I think Pliny the Younger is slightly bigger in the 10%abv range, compared to the Elder which is about 7, right?

From what I remember the younger is around 11% and the Elder is about 8%. It's all just splitting hairs at this point though.

This is the one I brewed: http://farmhousebrewingsupply.fmtemp.co ... 0PDF-1.pdf

After looking into the same thing, I found 2 different recipes that both claim to be from Vinnie. Turns out they both are, just from different times. The one from BYO was published first. The one in the link above, is more recent. I think RR now uses hop extracts in PtE, so even the PDF recipe isn't current, but nonetheless, it made the most incredible DIPA I've ever made and was a pretty darn close copy to the real thing, imo.

I hope this helps you!

PS. Just found this. Another recipe from Vinnie, this time in Zymurgy: https://www.homebrewersassociation.org/attachments/0000/6351/doubleIPA.pdf
