Looking for a hot weather crowd pleaser

Thu May 24, 2012 5:07 am

Having a grad party in a month. It's gonna be 90+ degrees outside and i'm looking for something other than a hefe or wit. I'm gonna make my little apa so i need something for them. And you know who "them" are. Fruit, spiced, whatever...if you've made it and "they" like it, please let me know. Never turned around a lager that quick, never tried actually, but if you have one that can be ready in a month, i have that capability as well. Thanks and I can't wait to see what yinz have in mind!

I like my :nutters: !
Go for an English mild or a brown ale.
Just something on the malty side. Alot of them folks cant get past "bitter" or "dark" beers.
Mine have always done well with the keystone folks.
A nice blond ale would be good, too. "Call Me", Jamils BCS recipe, is excellent, as well.
Make that one and itll go quick. My last one was gone in 2 days.
Also, congrats on the graduation.
Now get a job!

You won't turn around a lager that fast............Blonde Ale is a better choice
Eldorado/ Lemon Drop Summer IPA

You can't go wrong with a blonde ale unless you don't brew enough. Personally, I'd brew one with Saaz or some german hops. Great in hot weather. Otherwise, maybe a kolsch. German or Bohemian hops.
