Fri Apr 06, 2012 6:28 am

This weekend I will be brewing my third batch and will be my first attempt at all grain (the American Wheat All Grain kit from Northern Brewer) for my wife and would to add raspberries either fresh berries to the secondary or extract in the bottling bucket are a few options ive come across online. I am wondering if anyone could share there success stories to a newbie?

The fruit purees commonly available at homebrew shops would be a good way to go too. They come in sterile packed tins, just add to secondary. If you are using fresh fruit, rinse it well, then freeze (ice crystals break it up a bit more and allow juices to escape).

Thanks for the reply spiderwrangler!

I was in St. Paul today for the holidays and ran into northern brewer suggested I give the extract in the bottle bucket a try for my first all grain batch so i punked out for the simplest route, I will definitely give fresh fruit in the secondary a try next time around.

You better hope that it is OK with Em, or that may be your last batch!
