I am trying to figure out why that would have happened? Given I am a Hydraulic/Pneumatic engineer, I find it hard to believe that the fermentation process would cause, even a completely plugged CO2 vent tube system, to explode the carboy.........WOW!

He probably was just hammered by the time it came time to put the carboy in the fermentation chamber and dropped it. :pop
