Thanks for the e-mail. The recipe that More Beer has is the original recipe
from the original Blind Pig Brewing Company in Temecula, CA in 1994. The
version we make now is slightly different, however, I don't have it in
homebrew format. We do use a little Simcoe and Amarillo now to bring up the
hop profile. The thing about the equipment at Blind Pig in the 90's was it
was so inefficient that we had to had so much more hops to get enough hop
character in the beer that it brought the bitterness up. Also, we do not
use oak chips present day.

Notes:
Dry hop with 1 oz American oak chips, 1/2 oz cascade hops and 1 oz centennial hops 7 days into the fermentation. Rack off the chips and dry hops after another 7 days.

I just came back from a trip out west and stopped by Russian River. I have to say my favorites were the Russian River IPA and Blind Pig IPA's. Does anyone have a clone recipe for these?.... JZ, Tasty and Nathan...how about a CYBI show on these?

You can count on a CYBI for both beers. We would have already done them but we sorta loaded up on west coast beers and had to give the rest of the country/world some attention. I'm brewing a Norwegian CYBI beer this weekend.
