Oxidation question

Mon Jan 10, 2011 4:03 pm

Hello all,
If I use a 6.5 gal carboy and purge it with co2, can I use it as a secondary for my dry hopping in my pale ale and not oxidize it? All my kegs are full, I'm finished fermenting and would like to start getting the aromatics oils in there (Citra dry hops in a Citra pale ale) for my 2 week dry hop.

Thanks

+1. Go for it. Purging makes all the difference. If you didn't purge first, then you risk oxidation.

That's where I dry hop. Saves you the hassle of loose hops in your keg plugging the dip tube.
