Maybe this has already been posted. But just in case. This was at that house party in Washington State, where several persons were passed out, that everyone thought was a date rape case. Nope, just Four Loko!

Of course now they are trying to ban it.

Its been in the Sacramento Ca news as well. There's talk of a ban. I wonder how much a complete set of cans will go for on ebay? haha!

Ok

[RANT] This pisses me off. It's not that it's a caffeinated drink. It's that it's %^&* $2.00 and 12% alcohol and tastes like $%^&*(( kool-aid.

Now politicians are going to make a big fucking deal over the $%^&*& caffine when that's not nothing to do with it.

The end repercussions of this are going to be that wonderful drinks that have caffeine, such as commercial coffee stouts (like Founders Breakfast Stout), are going to be (*%^*&% banned because a bunch of *&^*(&^( 12 year olds who aren't of legal drinking age can't hold their *@#&*$ liquor, even though it has nothing to do with the serious artisinal beverages. No, I'm not exagerating, that's what the articles have been saying around here. That the government has already been speaking to craft brewers with coffee in their beers to ask them to voluntarily stop putting caffeine in their beers.

All of you on this forum should write your legislators to tell them that they SHOULDN'T ban caffeinated malt liquors. If they're going to ban something, tell them to ban alcohol that tastes like the same (*#@$(*& stuff they give to their (*#@&$(*& 8-year old kid to drink at his (@#$)(* Dora The Explorer birthday party. I mean the government already banned (*@#$(*&# fruity flavored cigars and cigarettes because they appeal to (*&#$*(@ kids, why don't you take the same step and ban the *(#@$*( kool-aid-flavored beverages instead of the good stuff that has nothing to (*&@#$(* do with the kids getting alcohol poisoning because 1) it tastes too good for their soda-and-junkfood trained palates to tolerate and 2) unlike #(@(*#$ four-loko, it's out of their price range, because they're $(*&#@$ high school and college kids without real (#$@(* jobs.

Or better yet, DON'T BAN ANYTHING. LEARN TO ENFORCE THE EXISTING (*&#@($*&@ DRINKING LAWS AND THIS #@(*$&@ WON'T HAPPEN IN THE #@$(*&@#( FIRST PLACE. Don't punish the legal drinkers because the illegal drinkers can't handle their booze. I mean plenty of BNers have enjoyed their four loko (quasi)-responsibly. Don't punish everyone because of #(*$#@ underage drinkers. That's like saying sex should be out lawed because high school kids are doing it while they're below the age of consent and getting each other pregnant.

Tell your #@(*U#@$ legislators not to invent @#)(*$@#(* problems just so that they can find ()#@&$)#@ "solutions" for them and paint themselves as #$*@#(@ crusaders. The problem isn't caffeinated booze. It's that underage kids are drinking. You ban this they'll find something else to drink. We shouldn't make our decisions about what legal adults can drink because of what children do illegally. All it does is make everyone ()*#@&$*() miserable.

this is a good statement to send to your legislators. Slightly edited for readability

Tell your misguided legislators not to invent new problems just so that they can find new "solutions" for them and paint themselves as moral crusaders. The problem isn't caffeinated booze. It's that underage kids are drinking. You ban this they'll find something else to drink. We shouldn't make our decisions about what legal adults can drink because of what children do illegally. All it does is make everyone unnecessarily miserable.

When I pull a workday from 8am to 5am (and can't even have a beer when I'm done because I have to be back at work at 8am), I tend to get a little angry...

UPDATE: See, it's not just in NY that they want to ban coffee beer http://www.mutineermagazine.com/blog/20 ... ages-bill/

Slightly off topic, but here is a video of a guy chugging a Four Loko:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0WzyEQZ ... re=related

I think we need a thread dedicated to Four Loko related posts, if there isn't one already.
