Another Keg and Carboy Washer...

Tue Oct 20, 2009 3:16 pm

I know we've seen a bunch doc & tasty style keg washers... just figured I'd throw mine into the mix.

I'm using a 1/3 hp pump instead of the 1/6 hp. There's so much flow that I didn't find it necessary to cap and drill the nozzle. The pump also creates enough pressure to reach the top of the "bev out" dip tube without restricting flow to the "gas in" side.

You can check out more details (pics and video) here: Keg and Carboy Washer
I've also blogged about some other homebrew projects.

Great job on the washer. I like how it all stores in the bucket. Thanks for the link to the video it's a big help. Off to the work bench! :jnj

Thanks Tasty!

...And my wife thanks you and Doc for the idea! Now I don't have carboys and kegs dickin' up her kitchen.
Since I'm canning my starter wort, the only mess made in the kitchen is when my starter erupts...

Traffic was the shits the other day (Bay Bridge damage/closure), so I decided to "work from home" and built one of these. This thing is great. Not only is it functional, but it adds a little "Feng Shui" to my garage. Thanks for sharing this.

Try some fermcap S in that starter to avoid eruptions...
