NHC Philly

I have never been to the NHC and since this year it will be in my area, I wanted to know what to expect from it.

Expect a GREAT TIME!

--More beer than you can possibly ever drink. There will be free beer in:
a) They always pour in the Registration Lounge right when you first get there
b) Keynote speeches
c) many lecturers will pour samples as part of their talks
d) hospitality suite
e) club night
f) pro brewers' night
g) the awards banquet
h) You can pay for beer at outside events such as BN Anniversary party, Brewery tours, etc.

Pace yourself! It's a marathon, not a sprint!

--More beer knowledge than you can possibly learn.

--More beer geeks than you can possibly meet. (or Meat). :unicornrainbow:

Expect it to sell out quickly

You definitely want to stay at the conference hotel or at worst within a few minutes walking distance because you will
be going back to your room at 2am and you don't want to be either a DUI candidate or mugging target or have to spend a boatload of money travelling back and forth to your room by cab.

We all KNOW that there's an implied A in Meat.

Also, plan on attending the BN Anniversary party...one of the best events. Most likely it will be the Wednesday of that week.
