For those who may find themselves wanting to get out of the hotel for a bit, or just plain have extra time somehow... I think having a thread devoted to guiding those travelling to the area to where the best beer destinations are is a grand idea.

I started by putting together a short list of places I recommend. The actual venue of NHC is in downtown Bellevue, which isn't exactly a beer enthusiast's destination. But, there are some places within a few miles (the closest being Black Raven Brewing and Malt and Vine) that may be feasible for some to travel to.

I'm going to Black Raven on Wednesday on the Pre-Conference tour. Really looking forward to it. I just hope I have enough left in the tank to make through BNA7.

click on the symbols in the legend to show/hide different categories of places so that there's less clutter.

I sure hope they add a bunch of events for the spouses (like they did in San Diego). I talked my wife into coming with me (just for club and pro night :D ), but she'll be doing her own thing during the day. All that is up is the wine tasting on Friday, and my wife thinks it's not worth the price. She says she'll have plenty to do down there, though.

Side note, I just signed us up for the Rock Bottom Brunch on Thursday. I think I'm going to skip on judging this year (but I say that every year, and end up judging anyway)
