Hey Solders:

The Brewing Network: Michigan Homebrewing Division will be assembeling this August at the Michigan Homebrew Festival and we need your help! (This event is open to any branch of the BN Army)

Kim Jong Ale and I are talking about having a booth again at this festival. It was a killer time last year, and this year promises to be better.

First of all, the beer. We need kegs and bottles to be pouring from. We would like a nice spread so if you plan on brewing let us know. It would be cool if we could get a keg/or partial, and bottles from as many soldiers as possible. Is there a jockey box available out there? Any other dispensing ideas? I may not have access to the jockey box that I used last year.

Also, my canopy that we used last year has been destroyed by a summer storm so we will need another. Anybody have one?

Secondly, Kim Jong Ale has pitched the idea of offering artisan pizzas from our booth for the Friday feast. Potenital needs are: Gas grills, help covering food costs, and volunteers.

Go to http://www.mhfsite.com/ for more info on the festival. Let me know if you are planning on attending.

This will also function as a club meeting. There will be beer evaluation, discussion of flavors and aromas (beer only), and general merriment.

Pity, I was really looking forward to evaluating some non-beer aromas. :nutters:

I cant wait!
I should add that the MHF will be supplying beer for the Friday Feast from the 2008GABF small brewer of the year Redwood Lodge. Beer style tba.
I have an extra grill that I can bring too. Id say its average to large size 3 burner with a side ring burner.

Brilliant! I wonder if Mrs. Badrock could get us a bulk discount so everyone can partake in the festivities.

Couldn't a flesh light double as a taster? I mean....you'd use it as a taster first....
