Stone Brewing Vertical Epic Halfway-There Tasting

Mon Oct 29, 2007 9:42 pm

Sven and I have been kicking an idea around for a while... we both have all the vertical epic beers and thought it would be cool to do a 'Halfway-There' tasting.

02-02-02 through 07-07-07.

Has anyone else held on to these? Are you tasting them? How are they holding up?

Cheers,

That sounds cool! I don't have any Vertical Epic, but I may have bottles of Old Guardian from each of those years. Now that would be EPIC a Vertical Epic/Old Guardian tasting party!!!

I get a few bottles every year and taste one alkong with one from the previous year. Unfortunately I only have 1 from 02-04 so I'll be waiting for 12 to taste them all.

Ha, I only have 06-06-06 and 07-07-07. I had a 05-05-05 but it got drank in a drumken stupor thinking there was still more. The 02's are going for a lot on ebay these days. If you have 2 of each wait till 12-12-12 and sell one set and drink the other.

Last year I got to try 040404 next to 060606. I can attest that they improve with age.
