Upright Brewing "Seven"
Image

The brewery states:
Seven is our most aromatic beer. The brewery’s saison yeast is fully expressed in the aroma with lots of fruitiness while the hops provide light spice notes. The beer has some heft mid-palette but finishes dry with a lightly lingering bitterness. Seven is satisfying on its own but pairs great with a variety of typically fragrant cuisines such as Thai or Indian.
Malts: organic pale, pilsener, organic munich
Hops: magnum, mt.rainier, hallertauer mittelfrüh, liberty
8% abv

I found this beer to be such a wonderful surprise.
All of a sudden I hear about them in the city and so I ventured out to get a bottle or two to sample.
This "Saison" is wonderfully complex and dynamic.
Distinct bitterness and spice from quite a generous amount of hops. Both in quantitiy and variety.
Beautifully dry and zesty. Fragrant to the last.

I am so glad to have found out about this American Craft Saison.
A+

I agree, I live 20 min from them and they make some really cool beers. Most of their beers are made with a french/belgian yeast that gives some complex flavors. They make a few sour beers that are really good too. Thanks for the review of the Seven hopbumpingbrewer.
