Jamil's California Common mash temp?

I just caught The Jamil Show's California Common episode. Of course, it was after I'd already brewed this style.
My recipe was based off Jamil's Brewing Classic Styles book and he recommended a 150 F mash temp. However, the radio show said 154 F. Anyone know why there's a discrepancy? Sounded like the same ingredients were listed in both sources.
