I'm a little bit confused-
How small was this batch? A 1.078 SG using only 5 3/4 lbs of extract and 2/3 a lb of candi sugar? I'd think the color would be light, too, with only the amber candi sugar to darken it. Also, it seems to finish really high at 1.018 given the yeast used and the addition of the sugar. There has to be either something left off the recipe, or the gravities BOTH contain typos.
Also, is the single 3% AA bittering additon the only one? That's gotta end up with about a 12-14 IBU beer assuming the 1.078 OG is right. Seems like a big sweet beer with no bitterness to balance.
Sorry, I don't want my post to sound negative. It's just that the numbers don't match the recipe (and the description).

Mmmmm Kay....
With Pro-Mash components here is what I get.
5 gal batch
Briess DME Weizen potental sg 1.046 4lbs
Irek's LME Munich Amber potent sg 1.036 1.75lbs
Amber Candi Sugar potent sg 1.046 0.6lbs
Pellet hops 1oz 3.0 alpha 60 min
1.055 SG
12.7 SRM (light amberish)
It does fit the Dark American Lager for SG but a bit low for SRM (14 min)
IBU 14.4
Style says 14-22 so in style there.

To be honest, I don't know his batch size, but I think it is 5 gallon. Basically he has a fridge with three taps and above each tap the recipe for the beer is written out. What I posted is exactly what he had written on the paper.
I hadn't put it into BeerSmith yet to figure out the specifics, so apologies if it doesn't come out right. I will drop him an email and ask if he has a ProMash report or something.

Wait... in looking at my post and I am pretty sure I left off one ingredient in the fermentables. Once I get back home later on I will check...

I checked with the LHBS owner, the recipe I posted is correct. Good luck!
