I'm thinking of throwing together a bitter recipe. On the heels of my last brew "jamils ordinary bitter", i was wondering how this would work out.

7.0 lbs Maris Otter Pale Ale Malt
0.5 lbs Crystal Malt 90L
0.25 lbs special roast
.25oz g magnum (60 min)
0.25 oz pearle (30 min)
1 oz Cascade (1 min)
1 oz Cascade (dry hop)
wlp001 yeast

basically it is jamils grain bill with a snpa like (toned down of course to compliment the style) hop schedule

any opinions???
would the magnum overpower everything?

Sounds like an American Amber to me, and a tasty one at that.

I've been using British pale malts for my APAs and IPAs and love them, but they are a little darker and richer than the north american varieties. Makes for sometimes disappointing contest results for tasty beers.
