Rainier Beer clone?

Tue Sep 25, 2012 3:00 am

I thought for sure I could easily google a clone recipe for Rainier Beer but haven't found one. It is a staple for my lite lager drinking friends here in WA state.

It would be a good challenge and be fun to see if there is a close recipe.

Any suggestions?

I only suggest you pronounce it 'Ron-yay'. It sounds so much more classy. But French stuff usually is.

some 6 row and wave some hops over the brew kettle...it might not be exact but i bet it's pretty close. I drank a ton of the Amber when I was stationed at Ft. Lewis back in 92.

All over the place in Montana. Usually right next to the Kokanee & Olympia.

What ever happened to our necro tardis photo?

Even here in Beer-Vana (PDX) the cult classics are Rainier and PBR.

A little searching of the interwebs yielded me one and only recipe

I might give it a try next summer, but really its such a cheap beer to buy at any grocer/mini mart in the Northwest. You might as well just go buy a 6 pack of tall boys, sit on your front porch and enjoy. :drink
