I'm almost certain it has been covered before, but is there a difference in a wit beer and a wiezen beer?

Yes
1 Wit = Belgian, unmalted wheat, somtimes spices and fruit (rind usually)
2 Weizen = German, malted wheat
Yeast is totally different too
