Anyone have any info or heard of a beer that was referenced in Designing Great Beer's book called Abzug a smaller version of a Marzen. I can't find any other info on it and really love brewing the marzen stlye of beer. I would be interested in finding out more about it to be able to correctly brew this historic version of beer.

I found this page and it has a chart of beers from around 1900 and it lists this beer as czech beer. It also gives the plato reading for 3 and two different colors and also the grams per hectoliter on the hops. http://patto1ro.home.xs4all.nl/czecintr.htm

Thanks for the help on the Veinna lager. Seems that it was more or less a sub type of a lager beer in the Czech Repubic that could refer to two or three different beers. I must say that the other info from that site was quite interesting especially some of the extinct German beer discriptions.
