Hey,

Anyone had any success cloning D-fish's 60 Minute IPA from the various recipes floating around the web? I'm more interested in what the hop schedule for the boil looks like, as I would like to use something similar in a different beer style.

Thanks in advance!

I think the recipe is in Sam's book Extreme Brewing. Its right from the source, so I would check that one out

I have that book - not with me at the moment, I'm at work - but I haven't had a chance to brew it yet. If memory serves me, he ends up doing additions every 3 minutes to simulate the "continuous" hopping that he does to the beers. They turn out to be really small hop additions, but when you're adding them every 3 minutes for an hour...

I don't happen to have the book in my collection....can anyone post the hop schedule either here on the board or in a PM.

Thanks!

All the recipes are extract but this should get you going:

Here is the 60 Minute IPA written by Bryan Selders of DFH taken from the Extreme Brewing book for a 5 gallon batch :

6 ounces Crush British Amber Malt (steep @ 150)

Boil
7 pounds Light dry malt extract (75 min)
Blend together in one bucket:
1/2 oz Warrior
1/2 oz Simcoe
1/2 oz Amarillo
at 60 min begin gradually adding the hop mixture over the remaining boil

1/2 oz Amarillo at 0 minutes (Book says to let it sit in the kettle for 20 min)

Yeast - Wyeast 1187 Ringwood or Safale S-04

After 6-7 days rack to secondary

1 oz - Amarillo (Dry Hop 7 days)
1/2 oz - Simcoe (Dry Hop 7 days)

OG 1.064
FG 1.017
ABV 6%
IBU 60
