Just pulled the first pint of my most recent batch - McDole's Tasty APA. This beer certainly delivers on the promise of its name.
Great mix of hop flavors atop the malt backbone. The aroma is outstanding. It's not quite finished carbonating and I only intended to pull a sample. The beer is so damn good I expanded my sample to a full pint
Cheers to Tasty/Juicy McDole for sharing this great recipe!

You're of course welcome but the recipe had to be brewed and I had no hand it that.
The beer has three things going for it. First is the well defined beer backbone from the malt bill (23% Pilsner), second is the hop layering (8 additions by flameout), and third is the 33% of the IBUs from the last twenty minutes.
I loved the beer so much myself it would have been a violation of "the code" not to share it:

And this is by far the most hop layering I've done on a beer to date. The varieties you used all work well together. I'm going to try more of this late hopping in future batches.
The CaraPils adds a nice touch of body to the beer, too. All in all, a great recipe.
If I can manage to save a bottle or two, I'll send some to The BN for a tasting.
Cheers!

Tasty, on the recipe you mentioned it would make a better APA at 30IBU'S, do recommend just adjusting the 60 to 1 minute hop additions, or (I use beer-smith) adjusting with the bitterness adjustment tab. This is next up on my list to brew. Thank you

First of all I've since made it at 30 IBU and it wasn't better as far as i was concerned. I guess I would restate things differently and say that it could be a better beer at 1.048 OG and 30 IBUs. I haven't brewed it this way so for now, I wouldn't recommend not changing a thing.
When I lowered the IBUs, I adjusted the quantity of 60 minute hops.
Tasty

I am brewing it this weekend, weather permitting. Wish me luck or send me labradoodle hair.

Thanks for the reply, I will brew it as the recipe, and let you know how it turns out.
