I have a new batch fermenting, but after only 12 hours, it began to clump into large, mossy/grainy, top floating chunks. I am new to brewing, but this looks unlike my other attempts and I'm unsure if this is mold/bacteria. Is this maybe the yeast at work? Otherwise the only new thing I tried was an addition of irish moss my local shop suggested.
I am making a 1 gal. belgian pilsner base w:
-Yeast = safale s-33
-Added Irish Moss
-4 tsp lavender
All other ingrediants I have used before and have not had this result. Any suggestions/thoughts will be help.http://thetang.moonfruit.com/
