My CO2 Regulators suck

My co2 regulator are at least 10 years old and they suck ass. The pressures are constantly fluctuating and I end up chasing the pressure I want on my beer. I have rebuilt both regulators on my dual gauge regulator and it still sucks. Does anyone have a recommendation for a regulator I can buy that actually works. It would probably get a hard on if I could actually set a pressure on a keg and it maintain that pressure until the keg was gone. Just sayin, this shit is real frustrating!

I have what I consider the best regulators and one of the five do that. Do all of yours drift?

Have you rebuilt it? There are rebuild kits for some regulators.

No, but I took it apart and it looked pristine. I'll look into a rebuild kit.

Just buy a new one unless you are broke.

Diaphragms will wear out. Basically you're replacing all the internal moving parts. I don't see the point of buying a brand new regulator at 4 times the cost of a rebuild kit. You could make another batch of beer with the savings.

Good point. I guess I am just a lazy brewer and don't have much extra time with my two little ones around the house.

Yes little ones can throw a wrench into brewing. That's why i've been brewing at 1 am when no one is up.

All times are UTC - 8 hours
