The biggest problem with converting weight to volume is that it's not consistent. Have 2 people put a 'perfect' cup of flour on a scale & you'd be surprised at the difference. Even the same person's scoops will vary quite a bit. You can get a 'coke' scale on Amazon for really cheap & it comes in handy weighing your hops (& water additions). Definitely something you'll use for the rest of your brewing career. I think mine was around $25.

Yeah, I think I paid around $30 for my 'pot scale' at a headshop. If you don't want to spring for a scale just yet, for future batches, the carb or conditioning tabs can be a good alternative. I've used them a fair bit when I ended up with odd sized final batch volumes, to avoid having to do the math.
