CO2 or Beer Gas

I'm going to build a kegging system in the next few months. I tend to like stouts and English/Scottish ales that are usually better under beer gas. Any reason I shouldn't start with a nitrogen/beergas setup before a CO2 system ?

Any other advice ?

I don't see the need unless you have long runs between the keg and the faucet. If you are using a regular kegorator with 6' of line, just use Co2. If you need the sparkler effect, then just hold the faucet open part way.
