Stopper hole size in B3 rolled lids?

Hey, all you B3 conical owners that have rolled lids, how big is the stopper hole? I have two B3 conicals that came with flat SS lids and the stopper holes are 1 1/4" in diameter. Then I decided I had to have a rolled lid and the stopper hole on it is 1 1/8" in diameter and of course none of my stoppers will fit in the hole. So, I'm wondering, what the heck? Shouldn't stopper holes be a standard size? How hard is it to make all the stopper holes the same size? I suppose I should stop my whining and get some smaller stoppers, but I don't want be using different sized stoppers for every lid I have.

Yes, stop your whining. They don't make metal punches in 1 1/4" diameter, the only options are 1 1/8" or 6 7/32". If you don't want to buy larger or smaller stoppers, I will trade you a bucket with lid for your conical and fucked up lid.

I'd bet that a 6 or 6.5 sized stopper would fit. If that doesn't work, cover the port with a bit of tin foil.

Then ignorant me wonders how the original flat lids came with 1.25" holes. Step bit instead of a punch, maybe? If that's the case, then maybe the new lid can be stepped out with such a bit so that it matches the old one?

I was being an ass. Of course there are many, many, different sizes of punches.

Well that's what you get for dropping a sophisticated joke that that among a bunch of morons like me. :)

Carry on, nothing to see here....

Thanks for the response, roger456 & DannyW. That's more than I got from the B3 forum. I just wanted to see if anybody else had the same experience I did. I did ask B3 if there was a reason for the difference in hole sizes, but I did not get a response to that. So, maybe it's just me. :(
But, B3 says they will take care of the problem and they always have been very good before with taking care of any issues I've had, so I'm sure things will work out this time. But, I was just wondering. Now it's time for a beer. :aaron
