I got nothing to go off of here so here's my stupid question for the day... how much room do I need between the burner and the kettle? This is one of those 100,000 btu NG units off ebay. I'd like to hard pipe my gas to a fixed height burner just for shits and giggles, or should it be an adjustable height? (this is for a 1/2bbl 2 tier I'm building)
Thanks for the assist

I think you nailed it, make the frame that holds your burner adjustable.
You never know if you will have to switch back to propane

I ended up being limited by the room I had on the existing cart, which amount to about 4". I'll have a little adjustment but not much.

I think mine is currently about 4 inches from the kettle. I also built mine to be adjustable too. I think I have about 3 inches up or down. I'm glad I built it to be adjustable.
