I have 2 keggles, one I use for a boil pot, the other for a HLT...

After cleaning, one of the kegs "appeared" to have a few rust spots forming on the bottom.... to be honest, I'm not sure if it's rust or left over stuff.

They soaked in PBW for about 45 mins (warm water) and were rinsed quite well...

So, if it's rust, knock it off with some fine steel wool????

Stainless will reform a protective layer knock it off... and kick back and enjoy a home brew

Shit I'm agreeing with bub again. Don't use any metal non stainless scrubbie it will put little pieces of crap on your stainless that will rust.

If you can find the white scrubbies they are supposed to be better for SS.

I used Bar Keepers Friend, worked great.

I used BKF then PBW and finished it up with a round of Star San. Then rinsed it out for a bit and let it sit over night. Now it looks good as ever.
