Cutting Aluminum or Stainless

I just got a new wort chiller and I would like to cut my aluminum and stainless kettle lids to allow for it. Any good tips on doing this or would it be better to take it somewhere and have it done?

For an aluminum lid a hole saw and a hack saw will do a fine job for you. Stainless is much harder to cut and have it look good. I would have a metal shop cut it for you. Should be a cheap job.

Thanks for the feedback. I was figuring stainless would be a bear to work with.

Both are very easy with the right tools. Use a Dremel with a cut off wheel and you'll be done in about 20 min.
