Has anybody had any experience with BeerTools Pro and ProMash? I know ProMash is basically the standard, but I was wondering if anyone had played with both and could give an opinion.[/quote]

I'm on the side of ProMash. Probably because it's the first one I used, but I still like it.

I use both all the time as well as Beer Tools' online calculators.

BTP is very close to edging out ProMash in my house simply because Donovan never returns my emails and the BT people do. BTP is new and evolving where PM is old and with no improvements in its future that I am aware of.

Having said that, I think they are both great products that get the job done.

I want to try Beer tools Pro, but want to try it out before I buy. I hope they release a trial version soon. Currently i'm using beersmith, i think thats pretty good.

I've been using BeerSmith and am happy with it. I tried both BeerSmaith and ProMash trial versions and they do about the same thing... But as Push said PM is looking a bit dated and they are not planning an update. This was a big factor in my decision...

I have ProMash and BeerSmith. I use BeerSmith most of the time since I find it easier to use, but they are both great programs. I have not tried Beer Tools Pro yet since I am happy with what BeerSmith does.

I currently use Beersmith but I also have a copy of BTP. I'm mostly using Beersmith but still use BTP on occasion to get to know it better. They both have points I like and dislike.
