I got a chest freezer for Christmas that I am turning into a kegerator. I have a temp controller, so what is the ideal temp should I set it for?

I keep mine right at 40°. Seems to be about right for my tastes.

I brew and drink primarily pale ales and IPAs and I keep my freezer at about 45 degrees.

I also keep my chest freezer at 45. It works great for me but I do like my beer a bit on the warmer side.

What temp do you like to drink your beer at? Set the thing to that.

I have mine at roughly 42F, one word of caution though. When you get the thing up and running get the temp you want a then put the beer in. I made the mistake of adjusting the temp in mine and going out of town for 2 weeks , returning to frozen kegs.

No, set the thing to the temp that
I like to drink my beer at. Then I'll be right over.
