Non-standard thermowell

Mon Feb 13, 2017 9:08 am

I got a new thermowell for free from work.

I'm trying to use it with Ranco temperature probe and running into all sorts of issues.

Has anyone here used a non-standard thermowell with Ranco temperature probes?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Welcome-

What's non-standard about it? Is it stainless? I would think as long as its food-grade and your probe fits inside, and it will reach into your beer, you shouldn't have a problem.

I am also confused by your post. Please be stainless. Does the probe fit into the thermowell? Does it get down the wort level in your fermenter? Help us figure this out.
