refractometers

Are the dual scale refractometers from BN sponsors More Beer, Northern Brewer, and Williams the same? They certainly appear so, from the catalogs. Does anyone have experience with more than one? Is the quality fairly decent (excluding the badass expensive [single scale] one from More Beer)?
Thanks

They're decent, but they're not a replacement for a hydrometer.

I don't have a fancy, two scale refractometer, but it is ABSOLUTELY a replacement for a hygrometer for me. I haven't touched one of those in years.

Same here and with Beersmith, it's very easy to calculate the reading for fermenting wort.

After missing my OG a couple times, I'm just looking for quick checks during the boil.
I'm keeping my trusty hydrometer for the official OG-FG readings.
Cheers

I have one of the dual scale ones from Norther Brewer and it's great. I have no problem with the quality. I have used it alongside several other refractometers and hydrometers and it has always been right on. I don't remember if the other refractometers were from the places listed.
