I don't know how many of you can't do a full boil yet, but I found a good deal. If any of you can get to a Bass Pro Shop, but they have turkey fryers on sale. The aluminum pot set-up with a nice burner for $29.95. The sale is on until Nov. 17th. I got a second one just because they are cheap enough for me. I have one that I've used for about 3 months now with no detectable off flavors. Now I just need to figure out what to do with the other one. Anyway, if you can't do a full wort boil yet, there you go.

Are those burners really the best you can get or can you find some that put out more BTU's

I'm trying to slowly reverse engineer one of the Sabco brewmagic units and they want like 80 buck's for one burner alone. Do you think those turkey frier burners are the same thing?

It certainly increases my wetness factor after spending much time on that site.

Brancid, the burners that the turkey fryers come with is a 55,000 btu bruner. the sabco retro fit ones are 65,000. I don't know how much of a difference that makes. I know that I can boil 6 gallons in about 15 min. For me that's good enough.
Good luck on the reverse engineering. Keep us posted and try to get some pics up if you can.
