Sabo Brew Magic Fermenter

I picked up a used Sabco fermenter. Everything is there, I've replaced the gaskets. I also changed out the tri-clover thermometer for a tri-clover thermowell. This way I can use my controler. I also changed out the 1/2" tri-clover fitting on the out valve to a US micromatic coupler fitting and a corney bev out on the other end. I changed the 3/8" barb on one of the ball valves on the 4" lid to micromatic for gas in and put a gas quick disconnect on the other end to my co2 tank. I'm using a piece of 1/2" hose with a air lock on the other 1/2" barb on the lid for blow off. This is going to work sweet! After fermention is done just close the blow off valve, hook up the gas, attach the line out, and bev out fitting on the corney and push beer! After filling 2 corneys, shake the fermenter around, move the racking cane down and I'll push yeast surrey into my 2gal. corney for harvest, rinse, and reuse. Give my a shout back if you're doing something like this.

Hey brewers,
Well I guess nobody else in the world is using a Sabco Fermenter. I just pushed my first batch using this set up. I must tell ya it worked sweet. I brewed a RyePA, my recipe was based on the beer Rogue served at the AHA nationals..."Wry Smile Rye IPA" After pushing the beer into Corneys for conditioning and carbonation, I pushed the yeast slurry into a two gallon corney I use to grow starters. The pressure relief valve is removed and a air lock fits in the hole with a small stopper.
These Brew Magic Fermenters are expensive, but are well engineered and built well.
If you can find one used jump on it, A friend and I picked up four from a small Brew Pub that failed. This guy was brewing on a Sabco Brew Magic system and using 30 of these fermenters. We got them for $325 apiece.

I have a Sabco "ball lock storage" keg that I got some time ago. It's essentially a half-barrel keg with a corny keg top welded on. I've been using it for about 7 years now without a hitch. They're awesome as a primary fermenter because you can push to a keg using CO2 when ferm is done. No O2!
