Not if it is coated with zinc. Description is confusing - the price is for stainless but the description is a plated steel?

I'd double check to confirm that it is stainless and the grade.

If there is a Fastenal near you, they clearly identify the grade of stainless steel and the price is similar.

i went to fastenal (thanks bc). here's my set up that i'm going to use to replace the spigot in my 100 qt cooler.
everything is from B3 and is 1/2 except the barbs on the OUT side that are 3/8.
I found that 3/4 washers do not fit over the threads of the 1/2 ID nipple, they might fit if I screw the washer over the threads. how the hell can i find parts to make the inside of the cooler water tight. 7/8 washers have too much dead space between the ID of the washer and the OD of the nipple.
Ive been everywhere trying to find parts.

3/4" rubber washer to get the water seal (you should be able to work this onto the nipple without too much effort), and a 7/8" metal washer for stability works for me.

I got the 3/4" SS washers for the inside of mine and had to just work the inside with a dremel for a little while to widen it just enough. I would just check it on the nipple every so often to make sure it wasn't getting to big. Looking back, I think the rubber washer probably would've been a better idea.

mine goes from the inside out
stainless 3/4" Tee - stainless fender washer - high temp O-ring - original cooler grommer - stainless nipple - [Outside the cooler] - several regular steel washers for spacing - brass ball valve - brass hose barb

in hindsight i could've saved like 5 to 8 bucks by using plastic washers. those stainless fender washers are expensive for just a single disc of metal with a hole in it. can't say i really feel like i have a better setup because of it.
