Faucet to garden hose adapter

i think i'm going crazy. i can't find a faucet to GHT adapter that matches my faucet thread size anywhere online.

mcmaster-carr only seems to have GHT to standard NPT adapters, and the measured OD of my bathroom faucet aerator is 7/8" which doesn't match any NPT pipe size. the faucet is female so i'll need a male to female GHT adapter. i can't find anything on the home depot site either. what's the deal? am i just not searching for the right terms?

if anybody's got a link i'd really appreciate it. i know when i go to home depot after work today they'll be able to give me the right part with no problem, but at this point it's more the principal of the thing. extra points if you can find it on mcmaster.com

You could always put a T and an additional shut off valve attached to the cold water valve under your laudry or kitchen sink. They have compression fittings for the soldering challenged that you can find at Lowes/HD.

BTW, welcome to the madness....

The adapter from a waterbed filling kit usually works for faucet-->garden hose... check out a waterbed/hot tub supply shop.

yeah this is my plan if i can't find the sink connector.

it's going to be potable water hose to qd with valve to GHT-3/4" NPT adapter to carbon water filter to 3/4" NPT to hosebarb adapter to some PVC tubing for filling the kettle. then a GHT to hosebarb fitting to use with the wort chiller outlet. i'm ordering literally everything from mcmaster so it was just irksome that they don't have that faucet adapter. i like getting one box with an entire project's worth of stuff in it.

I think you're looking for this

Doesn't look like McMaster has them. You can also look for portable laundry machine filling kits...

good luck

In case anybody stumbles on this thread in the future: I found a 13/16" male to 3/4" garden hose male adapter at home depot, though i couldn't find it on the website. Works like a charm.
