PBW + Aluminum Kettle

I did a soak this morning and it pitted the bottom of my kettle all to hell. I didnt mix up the PBW that might have been part of the problem...
Am I screwed on this kettle now? Can I continue to brew with it?

Sounds like a John Palmer question. I'd be a little leery about continuing to use it.

Once you get the residual PBW rinsed out of there you should be fine for continuing using this pot for either a boil kettle or hot liquor tank. With the pitting you will not be able to use it for post boil contact with wort as the pits can harbor bacteria. Since you probably don't use it that way anyway, there is no problem there.
Where you will eventually have a problem will be with leaks. The metal is now thinner at the bottom of those pits. Depending on how deep the pits are, you may at some point develop pin hole leaks in the pot. This could take years or perhaps never during your brewing career.
All in all, you most likely have no problem. Just don't do it again.
