I want add a ball valve to my 5 gal gott cooler (and remove the push button valve that it came with). What I want to know is how do I build the bulk head to add a manifold and valve.. I know I can get it from the brew supply companys, but I want try to make it first. Any suggestions?

stainless washers where need and a cheap silicone baking pan to cut cheap orings like this Image most dollar places carry these or if you get lucky even pot holders made of silicone.

Silicone and hexagon nipples, you gott a love it. HaHaHaHHHHAAAA

Seriously, thanks for sharing the bread pan and potholder idea and the parts list. That is an awesome idea. I am planning a mash-tun gott cooler. A Stainless steel mesh collendar as a false bottom and fit the valve on the bottom of the cooler. Obviously, the cooler will be on some sort of stand as there will be piping sticking out of the bottom.
