OH Sheeny Sheeny, better luck next time good things those carboys are so cheap right now!!!
Seriously though I put a corny out the night before last to chill it before carbing and it froze the picnic tap line and
the beer out poppet. The beer inside was fine, though not the best but having nothing to do with the freeze.
Yeah New England

Stupid weather. It's 50 degrees one minute and 20 degrees a couple hours later

Sounds like the weather here in CO during the winter... snows like a bitch one day and the next it's like 50 and everything melts and is a sloppy mess... oh well...

That sucks! About 3 years ago my Dad passed away and left me his house and several glass carboys. (He made lots of wine and some beer too.) It was winter time and I was renovating the house and while I was ripping out all the carpet I moved 4 carboys out into the garage. My Dad used to store his carboys with a sodioum metabisulfite solution in them when not in use to prevent any mold or anything from growing in them. Well of course I forgot about them for a couple days and when I went back into the garage 3 of them had exploded leaving LOTS of glass shards all over the garage. One was still intact and being the brilliant guy I am I decided I better get it inside before it broke too. I geuss I'm pretty lucky it didn't blow up while I was carrying it in.
