Those are some great pics. I'm looking to get my first pump as well and this seems to be very helpful. Those also look like some great equiptment deals for Xmas. Thanks Stadelman

Do you break the whole thing down each time you use it to clean, etc, or do you just pump hot water through it.

If you ran a stout through it, would that make it a "milk stout"?

Stadelman, I'm looking to rig mine with a bleeder valve too, since the first time I tried to use my pump, I could'nt get it to prime. I see where you've got yours on the inlet that faces straight up. I've read a lot where you should always have the inlet on the lower side and ideally have the outlet going straight up. I'm going to have to rotate the head on mine anyway as the way it is now, they are horizontal. From a priming standpoint, your setup look right but I just wanted to clarify from what I've heard several times on this. Thanks

If you read the comments on that thread, someone points out the exact same thing. He makes the point that mine is upside down and sounds informed. It works very well as configured, but he may be right, I do plan on trying it but just haven't had the chance yet.

If you configure it opposite of mine, so the inlet is pointed down, I would put the bleeder valve on that side too, if I were you. I think you should prime it before the inlet. Otherwise, you will need to recirculate to clear up husk material before you hookup the pump. If you have the bleeder valve on the inlet side, you can clear most of the husk out without moving the tubing around.
