temp controller queston

Can these be used to just give a temp reading. I am building a scuplture and need two thermometers. I will not be automating the set up at this time but would like to have that option later. With the cost of inline thermometers I thought this might be a good investment for future use. How would I wire this? Where is the cheapest place to get these? thanks for your time.

That device looks pretty cool. I also found a device that I am currently testing. you can find it here http://auberins.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=14 I think it works well and it is easy to wire. I just ordered the solid state relays from them with an additional PID to try and finish my long awaited automated temp control.

Yes, you don't have to connect it to a load, it should just provide a reading of the temp at the probe.

I have one of these controllers that I use for fermentation temp - a ghetto setup with my carboy in one cooler with a pond pump circulating water through my immersion chiller sitting in a 2nd cooler with ice bottles. Works great.

All times are UTC - 8 hours
