So I have a buddy that will sandblast and paint my rig with some 600deg muffler paint from his shop. Will this hold up very well?

Not around the burners no, but the rest of the rig will hold up.

High temp stove paint works. It's much cheaper than powder coating.

On the stove paint, use the gloss paint. The flat stuff seems to rub off quite a bit.

And the gloss paint doesn't? I figured it would show scratches and chip. I think I used a satin come to think of it.

Not too bad. My hands were completely black the first time I moved the stand around with the flat paint on it. Added a coat of the gloss and no more troubles with that.

Sort of on the same subject...
Is stainless worth it to build a stand out of, or should I just find any old metal and paint it?
