Is this post so that we can hate you less when your new sculpture shows up?

All I can say is your existing sculpture (and awning) wouldn't last two weeks with the wind out in AZ. Bring it on, brotha. I'd like to see which one you "settled" for. :)

My awning has been up for years now (I take it down in winter) and has been in 70 MPH winds. But I'm sure AZ has some pretty wicked windstorms!

Well it looks like I'm going for the flat sculpture. I was going to call this past week but it was just too nice out and spent the days with my son. I will be calling Monday for sure!

I highly recommend the B3 1000 gravity brew sculpture! You can add a pump if you want, but aren't dependent on it working. The mash tun is at a good height for mashing in, stirring the mash and emptying the grains out at the end. It is definitely worth considering....

What are the advantages over the flat (1100) ? A couple hundred less but is there anything else?

Smaller footprint, gravity feed (so you don't need a pump), but less cool points than the larger, pump systems with the full digital SMART control.

Gravity has its disadvantages.... If you get them so that you can gravity fill into a carboy, then the mash tun is too high to dough in and stir without a small stepstool. I just got rid of mine in favor of a flat system. Brewing (and therefore drinking) doesn't mix well with ladders of any size.
