here is my very rough sketch i drew for a buddy when we built my setup.

24" length and width of each tier
12" high where the HL tank sits on
21" high where the boil kettle
48" high where the mash tun sits

a keg is roughly 24" tall so that gives you 12" of clearance between the HL tank and Mash tun
beer is my way of living...

Mattman, how did your mash tun react to the heat from below? I was thinking I might need to add some shielding underneath.

no issues that i've seen. heat shield wouldn't be a bad idea.. but so far i don't see any issues with the setup yet. I like it because its very simple layout and fairly compact. Plus i like my 4 adjustable legs that i can adjust to level it out anywhere i go. The only thing i might switch out later is moving to natural gas burners so i can tie into my house line and get rid of propane tanks...
