Best Way to Dry 'Em

I have a dehydrator on the way, but in the mean time, have 1 lb of fresh Cascades to start drying or just vac-seal and freeze for a wet-hop addition.
Thoughts? Too humid in S. IL to dry in garage or outside. Thinking of spreading out on newspaper in basement maybe in my brew room where I have a dehumidifier running.

I can do that tomorrow or the next day.....in the meantime I have 'em on a towel on the floor in my basement with the exhaust from my dehumidifier blowing across them..I figure I'll look at box fan and filters while at work tomorrow.

Starting wt just over 1lb now 4 oz. Think they're dry? It's been 48-hours.

You should be able to tell by how they feel. that certainly is a lot of water weight lost so it seems as though they'd be done.

The rule of thumb I've heard for using wet hops is to use around 5 times the amount you'd use for a dried hop addition. I would think that using the box fan method for 48 hours would do the trick. You could let them go for another 12 hrs, weigh them again...
