Xmas gift

This is an update to post I had where I asked about this 60 Qt aluminum pot from http://www.waresdirect.com/products/Res ... (-Adcraft-)/Stock-Pot-60qt33388?trackURL=nextag

Well Santa brought one for me this morning and the thing is huge and pretty heavy duty. The handles are dual riveted and the pot itself is quite thick. I posted some pictures here http://picasaweb.google.com/dahoove/XmasGift

I would recommend it to anyone.

I would like to some holes in it for a thermometer and bulkhead any thing I should worry about when drilling aluminum?

Nice pot!

Drilling Al is pretty easy; it's quite soft. I used a metal hole saw. Started with a small pilot hole to keep things lined up.

Make sure you use a machine oil specifically designed for aluminum.

I use Rapid Tap Aluminum.
