My sour is too hot

Just checked my Berliner that I have kind of forgot about for a couple months. It is extremely hot and harsh. I dont pick up any other off flavors. Will this mellow with bottle conditioning? I have no idea the ABV because I forgot my OG and my notes suck. Should I save it to blend with another? It has been in the carboy for 7 mos. Thx.

At 7 mos in it should not be harsh and hot. By hot I am assuming you mean from higher alcohols? Berliners are typically low gravity beers and should not come across as boozy. Even when I ferment my BW's at 100+F with lacto they still do no come across as hot.

Can you describe the harshness a bit more? Is it astringent or overly hopped? What level is the sourness at?

Thanks brewinhard. It has a high alcohol taste. The sourness is great. No astringent taste or hops taste, just hot alcohol taste.
