Starsan with no cap?

The cap on my latest big bottle of Starsan has broken off (big surprise!) and I have resorted to a foil cover for it. Anyone know if this Starsan is still good to use or does long term exposure to oxygen decrease its effectiveness?

It's fine. Go ride your tricycle.

It's extremely stable in full concentration so I wouldn't worry about it too much. Especially covered with foil & likely sitting in a kitchen cabinet or somewhere similar where it's not seeing a lot of action. If you're super worried about it, test the pH when you mix up a batch.

starsan loves to make plastic 90 degree angles fail at concentrated strength... i put mine in a e and j brandy bottle metal lid now!

Man I'd love to ride a tricycle again.

Yeah what's been said. It's so potent in concentrate.

There is no reason why you couldn't. Just be sure to put on your foam helmet and properly attach your basket and bell...

I was going to say something, then I reread that. Nevermind.

What should the ph be for it to be effective?
